Welcome to JP TAX & ACCOUNTING LLC (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing this website or using our tax preparation services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use this website or our services.

1. SERVICES PROVIDED

JP TAX & ACCOUNTING LLC provides remote and online tax preparation, tax filing, document assistance, and related tax services throughout all 50 states within the United States. Services may include preparation and electronic filing of federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.

All services are provided remotely and online unless otherwise agreed.

2. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY

The client is solely responsible for providing accurate, complete, and timely information required for preparation of tax returns and related documents.

By using our services, the client agrees that:

  • All information and documents provided are accurate and complete.
  • The client will review all completed tax returns before submission.
  • The client is responsible for maintaining copies of all tax returns and supporting documents.

JP TAX & ACCOUNTING LLC shall not be responsible for penalties, interest, rejected filings, delayed refunds, audits, additional taxes, or any liabilities resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, or omitted information provided by the client.

3. IRS AND IRC COMPLIANCE

All federal tax returns prepared through our services are completed by or under the supervision of a tax preparer holding a valid IRS-issued PTIN in accordance with Internal Revenue Code Section 6109.

We comply with applicable Internal Revenue Service regulations, including due diligence, electronic filing, and taxpayer confidentiality requirements.

4. DUE DILIGENCE REQUIREMENTS

To comply with Internal Revenue Code Section 6695(g) and applicable IRS regulations, we may request supporting documentation and verification related to:

  • Income reporting
  • Dependents
  • Filing status
  • Tax credits
  • Deductions
  • Business expenses

We reserve the right to refuse service for any return that appears incomplete, inaccurate, misleading, fraudulent, abusive, or non-compliant with federal or state tax laws.

5. ELECTRONIC CONSENT

By using this website, uploading documents, typing your name, signing electronically, or communicating electronically with us, you consent to electronic records, communications, and signatures in accordance with the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN Act) and applicable Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA) laws.

The client authorizes JP TAX & ACCOUNTING LLC to electronically file tax returns upon approval.

6. TAX REFUNDS

Tax refunds are issued solely by the Internal Revenue Service and/or applicable state taxing authorities.

We do not guarantee:

  • Refund amounts
  • Eligibility for credits or deductions
  • Acceptance of tax returns
  • Processing times
  • Tax outcomes

Refund delays may occur due to IRS review, identity verification, offsets, errors, or other governmental actions beyond our control.

7. FEES AND PAYMENTS

Service fees are based on the complexity and type of tax return prepared.

Additional fees may apply for:

  • Amendments
  • Business tax returns
  • Audit assistance
  • Consultations
  • Additional forms or schedules

All fees are non-refundable once preparation work has begun or returns have been electronically submitted.

The client agrees not to initiate chargebacks or payment disputes for completed professional services.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JP TAX & ACCOUNTING LLC, including its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates, shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages arising from use of this website or tax preparation services.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by the client for the services giving rise to the claim.

9. PRIVACY AND CONFIDENTIALITY

We respect the confidentiality of taxpayer information and comply with Internal Revenue Code Sections 7216 and 6713 regarding disclosure and use of taxpayer information.

Taxpayer information will not be disclosed or shared except:

  • As permitted by law
  • As necessary to provide services
  • With taxpayer authorization

While we use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect client information, no electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed fully secure.

10. RECORD RETENTION

We may retain tax returns and supporting documentation in accordance with IRS record retention requirements and applicable federal and state laws.

Clients are encouraged to retain copies of all tax records for their personal files.

11. IDENTITY VERIFICATION

We reserve the right to request government-issued identification, Social Security verification, or additional documents to verify identity and prevent fraud or identity theft.

Services may be refused or terminated where suspicious or fraudulent activity is suspected.

12. NO AUDIT REPRESENTATION

Tax preparation services do not include audit representation, legal representation, or IRS dispute services unless separately agreed in writing.

Preparation of a tax return does not guarantee protection from IRS or state examination or audit.

13. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Our services may involve third-party software providers, electronic filing platforms, payment processors, cloud storage providers, or banking institutions.

We are not responsible for interruptions, delays, technical errors, or damages caused by third-party systems beyond our control.

14. WEBSITE USE

Users agree not to:

  • Use this website for unlawful purposes
  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems
  • Upload harmful software or malicious files
  • Interfere with website operations
  • Misuse website content or intellectual property

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate website access for violations of these Terms.

15. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed and interpreted under the laws of the State of Indiana without regard to conflict of law principles.

16. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Any dispute arising from use of this website or our services shall first be attempted to be resolved informally.

If unresolved, disputes may be resolved through binding arbitration or appropriate courts located within the State of Indiana, unless otherwise required by law.

17. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS

JP TAX & ACCOUNTING LLC reserves the right to modify or update these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.

Updated Terms become effective immediately upon posting to this website.

18. IRS CIRCULAR 230 DISCLOSURE

Any tax advice contained on this website or in communications is not intended or written to be used, and cannot be used, for avoiding penalties under the Internal Revenue Code or promoting, marketing, or recommending transactions or tax strategies.
